For the 2018-19 school year, we dropped back down from 25 students to just 14. Therefore, we are representing only 2 countries - Afghanistan and Jamaica.
We had such a great group of kids last year. However, 9 of our 8th graders moved up to the CHS Model UN program and a couple students chose not return or move out of district. But this year we added 6 great new students - five 6th graders and one 8th grader. They were all great additions to our group, and we had such a wonderful year with all our students. Things went so wonderful this year, as BOTH of our countries had their resolution make it through Small Council and got to present the second day in the Human Rights Council.
AfghanistanThe Afghan delegation wrote their resolution to tackle the issue of land mines throughout the world and using drones to locate and detonate the landmines. You can see their presentation of their Author's Speech below as well as read their resolution.

JamaicaJamaica is working on trying to establish a "Disaster Relief Program," which will have a building build in Mexico that will house emergency supplies for use by Caribbean Islands in the event of Natrual Disasters.
